The Shamrock is the National plant of Ireland. It is a three-leaved plant. It is found in abundance in Ireland.
Traditionally, Saint Patrick is believed to have used the shamrock to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity (One God, three persons). The three leaves are of one plant so is our God one in three persons.
