Thanksgiving 2020

Many of my friends in the western hemisphere are celebrating Thanksgiving. This year is unlike any other, we are probably keeping it small, or just staying out. It’s a great time for reflection, for some quiet space with the Almighty. We have been through a lot as individuals, families, communities, nations, and on a global level. But ”Thanksgiving fulfills the circle of relationships that characterize our journey here on the circle of the earth.” Praying for Good Hunting in the Fall.

Take a few moments to search through the events of this year, if you struggle to find moments of thanks simply go through the memories. Give thanks to your Creator for bringing you thus far. If you would like to use this visual to color and ponder and give thanks. Please fill the form below.

This picture is a thanksgiving doodle I created a few years ago as I meditated on the feeding of the five thousand. In Mark chapter 6 the bible records this story. Jesus was heading out for some rest but when he reached the other side he found people waiting there. He was filled with compassion and concern and from that place in His heart he blessed and provided.Jesus sees you. Jesus knows your need and Jesus is glad to be with you in the midst of your need. (Mark 6:30-44)

This visual has about 9 full flowers. The centers of the flowers have fish and bread as a sign of Jesus’ compassion and provision. The empty centers are for you to fill in. Around the centers are little geometric people dancing, they represent the people around you. The people who help you grow, the people around whom you grow and thrive. All the leaves are prayers for you to flourish despite the circumstance and through your situation. May God Bless you and be Gracious to you and give you His peace.
