A Contemplative Lenten Experience: All for love
Scripture: John 3:16 NLT
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

This doodle captures the very personal love God has for each of us. Each of the hearts represents an individual. He knows us by name and He cherishes each of us. The palm branches in the background represent humanity’s cry for salvation. He cries tears over us. His death (the crown of thorns) and resurrection (the bursting of light and life on the other side of the palm branches) are an act of deep love for each of us.
Consider God’s deep love for you. Each of us is valuable to Him. You are totally cherished by Him. Take a few moments to think of Jesus’ life on earth and reflect on His personal love for you. Here is a beautiful song by Lenny LeBlanc called “All For Love” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHwuisG00dM)
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, it is absolutely mind-blowing to think of your deep love for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for cherishing me, for longing to be with me. Help me in my love for you. Thank you Jesus, it’s in your name we pray. Amen.
