A Contemplative Lenten Experience: Thank you Holy Spirit

Scripture: Acts 2:2-4

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:2-4 ESV

Holy Spirit : Dove, Water, Wind and Fire

This doodle represents the Holy Spirit as a dove, water and the wind. Use the words of the Hymn below to ask for a fresh presence of the Holy Spirit.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
To do and to endure.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
Glows with Thy fire divine.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
Of Thine eternity.

Prayer:
Lord thank you for your presence with us at all times. Thank you Holy Spirit for your continued guidance and comfort. Help me listen very carefully to your voice as I live these days to honor you. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen
