This doodle was birthed from my ponderings over Psalm 121 from The Bible.
This piece shows a person with outstretched arms looking at the mountains and crying out… ‘where does my help come from”… then the psalmist reassures himself as I did myself…my help comes from the God who made all things and knows and loves me well 🙂
You will also see the spirit of God hovering above the mountains. If you look further back the arms and the profile of the person form an eye, the eye of the Lord is constantly watching everyone, and He gives strength to those who faithfully obey Him.
Psalm 121 (the Bible)
1-2 I look up to the mountains;
does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God,
who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
3-4 He won’t let you stumble,
your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.
Not on your life! Israel’s
Guardian will never doze or sleep.
5-6 God’s your Guardian,
right at your side to protect you—
Shielding you from sunstroke,
sheltering you from moonstroke.
7-8 God guards you from every evil,
he guards your very life.
He guards you when you leave and when you return,
he guards you now, he guards you always.
