Here is my pictorial thanksgiving to a God who blesses, a God of compassion, My Provider, my Love and the giver of Life.
I started doodling this almost a week ago. Focusing on giving thanks and experiencing my heart feeling lighter, I was drawn to Matthew 14:13 – 21. Here Matthew records the interaction between Jesus, the crowds and the disciples. Jesus has compassion on his people, He blesses (some translations say ‘He gives thanks’). He provides and He provides abundantly. This doodle weighs in on Matthew 14: 18 – 20. I loved doodling this one and counting my blessings. Can you count the flowers as groups of people rejoicing and ‘giving thanks’ for His love toward them?
As I continued pondering over thanksgiving I happened upon an Ray Aldred’s article Praying for Good Hunting in the Fall – He says,”Thanksgiving fulfills the circle of relationships that characterize our journey here on the circle of the earth.”

And more recently a friend ( Sheba Ross Titus) posted …”I like that gratitude is not always about what the eye sees. It is also what you can make your heart feel.”
So Give thanks. Give thanks for the everyday things, Give thanks to the Lord for His loving Kindness and all of His wonderful deeds 🙂
