God will provide.. Genesis 22:8 NLT
Jehovah Jireh is a name for God meaning “The LORD will provide” is from Genesis 22. This astounding love for God expressed by Abraham in obedience to sacrifice his own son is a reminder at Christmas time of the whole reason for the birth of Christ and God the Father’s unconditional love for us by offering up His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Let’s look at the personal provision for Abraham, and then turn to the provision of a one-for-all sacrifice for the whole world; you AND me!
Genesis 22:1-8, 10-14 “Now it came about after these things that God tested Abraham and said to him, Abraham! And he said, “here I am.” And He said, “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.” So, Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son; and he split wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place from a distance. And Abraham said to the young men, stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go yonder; and we will worship and return to you. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son and took in his hand the fire and the knife. So, the two of them walked on together.”

His own dear Son, Jesus, born on Christmas night. God has again lived out His Name for us.
Jehovah Jireh, The LORD will provide. He has provided the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
Light a candle to represent the LOVE of God that would provide a needed savior for each of us. After you light the candle, read John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
Speak to Jehovah Jireh, for THE LORD WILL PROVIDE, and thank Him for His Christmas provision for you!

Prayer:
Dear Lord thank you for being our Provider. Thank you for knowing us deeply and anticipating our needs. Thank you Jesus for willing to be the sacrifice. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen
