Happy birthday Jesus

Here is Aradhya’s birthday picture of Jesus. She was 3 years old when she drew this picture. The tiny little head with 2 eyes and 2 legs is baby Jesus. You can also see Mary, Joseph and some shepherds.

Shepherds and the sheep

At the age of 4 Nadira drew a series of pictures depicting the birth of Jesus. This was a Selah moment, an art response to the story of the Shepherds watching over the sheep when the birth of Jesus was announced to them. The yellow skies represents the glow from the presence of the angels.

Jesus born in a manger

In December of 2011 Nadira was 4. She churned out so many drawings expressing her relationship with God. Everyday we would spend time together with God. We would read a story from the Bible and she could choose to respond to the story by either drawing or in song. This one is her drawing ofContinue reading “Jesus born in a manger”

An estuary is the place where the river meets the sea. Here the sea water is made fresh. There is an abundance of different varieties of fish and vegetation. I wonder what life would look like if we came together with our differences some from the fresh waters and some from the salt waters. TakenContinue reading “an estuary”
